Athletic Background

I grew up playing all sorts of sports. It was a big part of my life. Soccer, lacrosse, track, wrestling, and even golf were some of the sports I competed in. Wrestling was the main focus though. I started when I was six years old and continued on through college at a Division 1 program.

Food

I don’t weigh or measure my food. I don’t eat strict paleo and I don’t go nuts on my diet. I did it to much in wrestling and don’t want to go back to that. I tried zone, learned some things, and went from there. I try to eat frequently throughout the day. At my main meals I try to have a balance of macro nutrients, but don’t concern myself with this on the snacks. Really boils down to eating good quality food whenever I want.

Favorite Lift

When the technique is there, snatch

Ideal WOD

I love the blend of work capacity and athleticism. Anything that is going to have both intensity and skill demanded of you. I think it says a lot about people athletically when they can do some of the more skill based movements under than kind of cardiovascular and mental stress. A good barbell lift and technical gymnastics movement are always a good time.

WOD with or without a shirt

I feel claustrophobic if I wear a shirt these days. If I start with a tee on, it’s almost always going to come off

Train solo or with partner

Not always by choice but I’m solo WAY more often than not

Favorite Rogue Product:

Rogue R3 Westside Rack, I can do anything with that rack and it’s bombproof

Bar: What barbell do you use when you lift?

Rogue Operator Bar

Bumpers: What bumpers do you train with?

Rogue Competition, I really like these and train with them all the time.

Shoe: DoWin or Nike for Oly lifts?

Reebok Nano 2′s for everything I do with the exception of long runs.

Fill in the blank:

I like…these days spending time with my family whenever I can, and I LOVE skiing on a BIG powder day when it’s dumping

I eat…whenever I want

I do…not want to settle for anything less than my best

I am…grateful for all the gifts and blessings I’ve been given
